Walking, as a form of exercise, has been my go-to for as long as I can remember. If I miss a day of walking, it affects my mood and I can feel the sluggishness in my body the next day. Walking is so important to me for so many reasons - it gets me outside for much needed Vitamin D and fresh air, it gets me to move my body instead of sitting sedentary in front my desk all day, and it really helps my mental frame of mind. I've tried almost everything out there - yoga, pilates, cycle classes, strength training, HIIT cardio (not my favorite) - I think at one point I was frequenting Curves (if you know, you know). However; time and time again, I come back to walking as my mainstay form of a fitness focus. That being said, I do frequent my Peleton, yoga classes a couple of times a month and weight lifting at our local gym. Gone are the days I enjoy any sort of high intensity workout.

I was complaining to a friend the other day how annoyed I get when it's raining and I can't take my daily walk. She was telling me about a walking pad she uses while she's working from home. She said it fits nicely under her desk and she can pull it out in between calls or use it while she's working at her standing desk. She mentioned it had made such a difference on days when she was too busy to get outside. Well? Consider me sold. As I was looking up walking pads other exercise equipment and accessories were popping up that peaked my interest and down the rabbit hole I went. I'm excited to share all of my fitness and exercise finds with you!
