Smart & Stylish Organization Solutions for Busy Homes
If your home is anything like mine, staying organized is a constant work in progress. We are only three people and I’m stil finding that our stuff ends up all over the place and a clean kitchen seemingly becomes cluttered in a matter of moments. It makes me want to tear my hear out sometimes!

So, I love finding organization solutions that don’t just hide the clutter but actually make a space feel calmer, prettier, and more pulled together. The good news? Stylish storage has come a long way. From chic baskets and elevated drawer organizers to furniture that multitasks beautifully, there are so many ways to get organized without sacrificing style. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite organization finds that blend function with design so your home feels effortlessly put together.
Elevated Organization Finds That Fit Your Aesthetic
I’m all for finding the best ways to organize, but I also want to be sure it fits the aesthetic of my home. I’m not talking about getting some plastic tubs filled with out-of-season clothes and shoving it under your bed (albeit, that’s always an option). When I’m looking for organization and storage, I’d rather it blend in with the room. A piece of furniture like an ottoman that has hidden storage, a beautiful rattan basket that I can keep by my front door to keep things like umbrellas or salt for the front steps in the winter months, or pretty wooden drawer inserts to keep my make-up organized and off the counter. There are so many different options to find chic and stylish home organization solutions without looking like your house is a mini version of The Container Store.
Stylish Storage Solutions That Double as Decor
My two favorite ways to organize and hide clutter are with furniture or home decor pieces that also double as storage or organizational tools. A few reatilers that I find have the best affordable furniture and pieces that can also be used as storage are Wayfair, Bed Bath and Beyond, Amazon, West Elm, CB2 and Ikea. Yes, West Elm and CB2 can be a bit pricier than what you might find on Amazon, but they aren’t as crazy in cost as a Pottery Barn or Serena and Lily.

If Your Entryway Becomes a Dumping Ground….
Look for these easy storage solutions: shoe cabinets, hall trees, storage benches, wall baskets, woven baskets and console tables.
Storage Bench with Baskets
If you have the room in your entryway, a storage bench makes so much sense. It’s a good place for people sit down and take their shoes off and you can fill it with all that stuff you don’t necessarily want sitting out: salt for the front porch on winter mornings, umbrellas, hats and mittens – you name it. Mine often doubles as a place for people to place their purses when I host bookclub. The baskets give it a beachy coastal vibe.
Hall Tree with Storage Baskets
I am a big fan of baskets! They are just so easy to pull out and throw things in. I relaly like this particular hall tree because it’s affordable and it’s not overwhelming. Average entryways aren’t overly big and this provides great storage for outerwear without feeling like it’s taking over the space. Keep in mind, for more affordable options, they will likely be made of manufactured wood. But if you’re willing to pay more, Crate and Barrel has one that I also love.
Seagrass Baskets (Set of 2)
A great thing to place in the corner of entryway, they had style to the room and are scuh a natural way to store things you don’t necessarily want left out. I have my son use ours to put his backpack and any school items. He knows anything he needs for school is in the basket! I like baskets that have some sort of handle on the lid to make it easier for on and off.
Rattan Shoe Storage Cabinet
I love this (mostly because I love all things rattan). My husband made a custom-made shoe rack that attaches to our wall in our super small entryway from our garage, but it just doesn’t get used, and I want to replace it with this (Shhh… don’t tell him!). I like the size of this one and that it will easily fit behind the door when it’s open.
Sneaky Family Room and Living Room Storage
As I said before, I’m pretty opposed to anything looking like flat out storage in a room where you and your loved ones are trying to relax and create a room full of calm and serenity. Or at least create a place that is free from scattered toys, heaps of blankets or piles of magazines, electronics and books. Here are some storage and organization finds that double as nice decor.
Swivel Accent Chair with Hidden Storage
This is a great swivel chair with storage underneath the seat. It also has a USB charging port, making it a great chair for kids’ bedrooms or if you need that extra storage space in a living room. Another thing to look for with regard to chairs with storage are chairs made for nurseries and babies’ rooms. An added bonus: they are almost always super comfy.
Aubrey Woven Oversized Lidded Basket
Ok, so you don’t want to go all-in on couch with storage, this is a great alternative. Slim in stature but can still hold everything from throw pillows and blankets to kids toys, this oversized lidded basket would compliment any room: beneath a console table, the side of couch or even in the corner of the room.
Volos Large Burl Wood Lidded Decorative Storage Box
This is a great way to keep all the random and miscellaneous items in a room to help things look a lot less cluttered: remotes, lighters and matches for candles, sunglasses and keys in an entryway – you name it. It’s hard to tell in this picture but it also has a beautiful brass and bamboo handle.
Bathroom Storage But Make it Cute!
Sometimes it’s hard to think outside the box when it comes to bathroom storage with easy access to plastic dividers for drawers or plastic toothbrush holders. But, there are so many chic storage and organization options for bathrooms that make your space look elevated and intentional.
Rotating Make-Up Organizer
This lazy suzan make-up organizer would look so pretty sitting in any bathroom (or even a bedroom dresser). It’s a great way to keep bathroom clutter organized and the pretty green color partnered with the gold accents makes it look more like an accent piece than your basic make-up organizer.
The best organization pieces should do double duty. They should solve a clutter problem while blending seamlessly into your decor. Look for neutral colors, natural materials, clean lines, and pieces that feel intentional rather than purely utilitarian. When storage looks good, you’re much more likely to maintain it.
Simple systems always work best. Focus on quick wins like labeled baskets, drawer dividers, and drop zones for everyday items. When everything has an obvious home, it reduces decision fatigue and makes cleanup faster, even on hectic days.
A mix usually works best. Closed storage keeps visual clutter down, especially in high-traffic areas, while open storage can add warmth and personality when styled thoughtfully. Think baskets on shelves, decorative boxes, or trays that corral items without looking clinical.
Entryways, kitchens, bathrooms, and closets tend to make the biggest impact because they’re used constantly. Small upgrades in these spaces often create the biggest feeling of calm and control in everyday routines.
Buying storage before decluttering. It’s tempting to grab bins first, but editing what you own usually saves money, space, and frustration. Organization works best when it supports what you actually use.
Start small. One drawer, one shelf, or one category at a time is more sustainable than tackling an entire room. Progress builds momentum, and visible improvement keeps motivation high.
