For the Love of the Game: A Tennis Gift Guide
There are hobbies… and then there’s tennis. (And see what I did there with the title of this post? I love a good pun.)

If you’ve ever fallen down the rabbit hole of early morning drills, USTA matches, league nights, pickleball converts who eventually come back to tennis (yes, it happens), or endlessly debating strings and racquets over post-match coffee, you know tennis isn’t just a sport. It’s a lifestyle.

Lately, it also seems like tennis style is everywhere. Pleated skirts, crisp whites, striped sweaters draped over shoulders, vintage racquet graphics… the classic tennis aesthetic has moved well beyond the court. Whether you’re shopping for your doubles partner, your spouse, your favorite tennis mom, your coach, or someone who simply lights up whenever they hear the words “new can of balls” these are the gifts I’d actually recommend.
Some are practical.
Some are splurges.
And a few are simply fun.
I started playing tennis as a child. Summer lessons at our local park in the summer. I have memories of bouncing the tennis ball up and down on my racket and being told to do that 50 times in the blazing heat. Random memory? For sure. I’ve had my son in tennis lessons on and off since he was five years old. We occasionally play as a family but nothing serious. But I’ve always loved the cute tennis aesthetic. Cute skorts, visors and hats with fun sayings, and, ofcourse, the post-game Aperol spritz. I have some friends that are MAJORLY into tennis. They’ve invited my husband and me to play with them, but I’ve been too intimidated to ever say yes. However, you better believe I grilled them to find out what a tennis enthusiast would look forward to receiving as a gift. Whether practical or a fun style trend, they were super helpful in recommending some great gift ideas.

Practical Tennis Gifts Along With A Few Fun Ideas
Practical tennis gifts are a sure-fire way to win over any tennis player or tennis coach. Things like foam rollers for post-game stretching, water bottles and coolers make life on the court that much more enjoyable. But let’s be honest, practical gifts aren’t alway the most fun so I’ve included a few ideas to make your tennis fan smile.
There’s something about tennis that has a way of becoming part of everyday life. The early morning matches, post-game conversations in the parking lot, the tiny victories when your serve finally clicks, and the friendships that seem to form somewhere between warmups and match point.
That’s why the best tennis gifts aren’t always the biggest or the most expensive. They’re the thoughtful little upgrades that make someone excited to head back to the court for one more set.
Whether you’re shopping for a seasoned league player, someone just discovering the sport, or simply a person who loves the timeless style that tennis has inspired, I hope this list helps you find something they’ll genuinely enjoy.
Happy gifting… and here’s hoping their next match ends in a win.
