I spent over 20+ years working in digital marketing and advertising riding the waves of success and failure in various account management roles. There was a long stretch of time that I loved my career and it provided me with a rewarding sense of self worth…until it didn’t. (The best thing to come out of that maddening industry was making a few lifelong friends, and for that, it was worth every sad Sunday – IYKYK.)
I eventually decided to leave corporate America to explore more creative endeavors – which brings me here. I am, by nature, someone who loves to write. I’ve always loved creative hobbies, design, travel and learning about art. So – here we are. Where did the name The Betty Edit come from, you ask? Betty was a popular slang word in the 80s for a cute girl (and I’m an 80s gal!). It’s also a nickname for Elizabeth – my middle name.

A bit more about me? I’m an Xennial (Goonies/Oregon Trail Generation for you cool cats) armchair detective who reads 1-2 books a week. I pretend to know what I’m doing when it comes to cooking and take great pleasure in the giddy laugh of my son. I loathe talking on the phone, prefer salty over sweet and after visiting over 20 countries I can say Italy and Scotland are at the top of my list. Bucket list trip? Japan. I hope you enjoy all that I share.
