Cool Blue for Spring

Yesterday was daylight savings, and getting that extra hour of sun coupled with unusually warm weather here in Michigan had me scouring the ends of the internet for spring outfit ideas. Low and behold, I saw so many different fantastic shades of blue that I am officially inspired to make it my “go-to” color for this spring.

I recently cleaned out my closet to get rid of any unworn and unwanted winter clothes. I was tired of having an overfull closet full of things I looked at and would think “Well, I won’t get rid of that because what if I want to wear it further down the road??” knowing full well I hadn’t worn it in years. I actually ended up with a super streamlined closet and I’ve decided that’s how I’m going to continue moving forward. With that said, I’m going to clean out all of my spring clothes and only keep what I really truly wear and I was hoping to get a few spring staples that look sylish and trendy for Spring 2026! And I’m trending toward… all things blue!

Blue As a Hot Spring Color in 2026

While I’m loving all the different shades of blue, the icy blues are really piquing my interest. I’m seeing them all over Pinterest feeds and lots of influencers’ spring style staple guides, so I know it has to be the hot color of blue. Who What Wear even posted an entire article on icy blue being spring’s “it” color (and I love some Who What Wear recos). They also recommend cobalt blue as another great spring color. While it can be really pretty paired with chocolate brown, for spring I’d like to pair it with white, darker blues, and animal prints. There is something about an ice blue that adds a certain edge to an outfit, but I’m not going to discriminate, as I love all shades of blue this season.
