Cool Looks for a Disney Spring Break

My family and I went to Disney in 2023 and I wasn’t very thoughtful about what I wore. I was struggling with my weight post COVID and just wasn’t excited about wearing anything other than leggings and long t-shirts during the day and jeans and sweatshirts at night. I’ve shed some of that pandemic weight now and wish I could have a “redo” as there are so many cute Disney-themed clothes and just generally great options for theme parks outside of….well… leggings and boring t-shirts.

A few pics from our Disney trip in 2023

Depending on when you go, your outfit needs will vary, so I’m tailoring this to the spring break time period. Your outfits will obviously be quite different if you’re there in August or the colder months like February. I think most of us moms want to be comfortable first and foremost, but you likely also want to look pulled together and like you’re still sporting some cool vibe style. We can be the multi-tasking moms on a trip, but we don’t want to look like frumps!

What To Pack For Disney World In Spring: Cool Mom Vibes!

I realize my style may not be your style, so I’m trying to suggest some pieces that may be universally loved while keeping you comfortable and cool (literally), but still letting the world know you’re not a dowdy, unfashionable mom. I’m personally not a fan of wearing shorts or athletic skirts and skorts as I loathe knowing the back of my bare legs are touching the dried sweat of the person riding before me. Yes, I’m a bit of a weirdo about that but it’s my quirk and I’m standing by it. However, I know many of you don’t share my germaphobe tendencies so I’ll include a few of those options as well.

Weather can be hit or miss in the spring months. Days can be super hot or rainy and evenings can cool down as soon as the sun sets. So you really do need to pack a wider variety of clothing than what you would need for the warmer months but you definitely don’t need to overdo it on sweaters, jackets, etc.

Pro-tip: whatever footwear you choose, if it’s new make sure you spend some time in them before you decide to strap them on your feet for an entire day of 15,000+ steps. I made the terrible mistake of wearing new sneakers and spent the second day in the parks, miserable with blisters. Even if you’re stuck wearing your boring dorky everyday walking shoes, do it if you know that it will get you through the day supported and pain-free. Leave the cute new sandals and streamlined sneakers for the evenings or your down days at the resorts.

01 | Disney Tee

Disney Tee

A great tee that will allow you to stay cool and can be mixed and matched with a number of bottoms. The retro vibe of this particular tee makes it a little bit cooler than the in-your-face-Disney-threw-up-over-my-entire-outfit stuff that is out there. If you’re looking for something sleeveless, this one is also pretty darn hip, as well. SHOP NOW

02 | FP Movement Hot Shot Onsie

Hot Shot Onsie in Black

I am obsessed with this onesie. A perfect choice for sunny, wamer days at the park. For those of you who get the same ick that i do when your legs touch the seats of the rides, this allows you to have longer pants but is a super breathable, loose fit to let that air circulate. Pair this with a cool pair of sneakers and a trucker hat and you’ll be the envy of all the other moms. SHOP NOW
