Spring Home Decor Refresh: Amazon Edition

Decorating for holidays, any and all holidays, is my jam. From September – March I’m swapping out fall/back-to-school decor for Halloween, Halloween for Thanksgiving to Christmas to Valentine’s Day to St. Patrick’s Day. By the time the spring rolls around, I”m ready to go back to a non-decorated home for the spring and summer months. Clean, crisp, and uncluttered. However, that’s not to say that I don’t want to spruce things up and bring some fresh and clean decor into our home for those several months.

Spring Tablescape

I usually have a few things in mind that I want to replace like grubby wineglasses or worn out wood salad tongs. It’s so nice to refresh a space with new pieces of artwork, a newly placed vase and throw pillows. Even changing up window curtains and new towels makes a space feel crisp and new. Starting in April, I do some serious deep cleaning. I purge anything I haven’t used in over a year – throwing out old half-used bottles of lotion and NyQuil, going through old make-up and cleaning out the junk drawer. When all the spaces, ins and outs, and nooks and crannies are tidied, cleaned and organized, it leaves me space to bring in some fresh spring home decor changes. And speaking of cleaning out closets to refresh, I just published a post you might like about the best spring sweaters.

I don’t typically buy into trends – especially as it pertains to home decor. Trends come and go, and I truly believe that you should decorate with whatever brings you joy, makes you feel comfortable and safe, and sparks happiness. However, a few spring home decor trends that I’ve noticed for 2026 are:

  • Natural & organic textures
  • Warm earthy colors (Think: Sage Green, Clay, Butter Yellow)
  • Minimalism seems to be taking a backseat to a more layered look: vintage and modern mixed together, personal pieces layered with textiles, books and anything that tells your life story.
  • Patterns, patterns and more patterns!

While that’s all well and good, you need to pick and choose what works best for YOU. You may hate art deco and that’s okay! Perhaps you’re a more boho person or a minimalist who scrunches your nose at the fact that maximalism is in right now. Which is all to say – it’s great to add little pops of new home decor every year (for me, in the spring) so you can change things up and find what you truly love. I stayed away from the overtly spring items like bunny rabbit figurines and “Hello Spring” wall hangings and tried to keep it to things you can easily swap out that give your home an elevated feel with still conveying the freshness of a new season. Without further ado, here are a few of the things I’m coveting for new spring decor to welcome the warmer seasons.

I love the idea of changing up your wall hangings. We often live with the same things on our walls day-in and day-out that we tend to become “blind” to them. But when you swap out artwork and wall hangings it can instantly make a space feel refreshed and renewed. The coastal vibe of this is perfect for spring.

This is such a light and airy vibe. It would look gorgeous as a piece on a sidetable or fill it with fake cherry blossom stems. Either way, it looks so similar to something you’d find at Pottery Barn and it’s under $35.

Spring Decor Refresh FAQs

What are the biggest spring home decor trends for 2026?

Spring 2026 home decor is all about creating a space that feels lighter, softer, and more relaxed without doing a full overhaul. Instead of overly themed seasonal decor, the focus has shifted toward subtle updates like rattan lighting, block print textiles, warm wood tones, and small pops of color. Think coastal-inspired, airy, and timeless rather than anything overly trendy or themed.

How can I decorate my home for spring without it feeling seasonal or cheesy?

The key is to skip anything overly literal like signs or themed figurines and instead focus on texture and color. Swapping in lighter fabrics, adding woven elements like rattan or seagrass, and incorporating soft blues, greens, or muted corals instantly gives your home a spring refresh while still feeling elevated and year-round appropriate.

What colors are trending for spring home decor in 2026?

This season leans into soft, nature-inspired tones. You’ll see a lot of coastal blues, sage greens, sandy neutrals, and warm whites, along with subtle pops of color through accessories like picture frames, books, or textiles. The overall palette feels calm, fresh, and easy to live with.

What are easy ways to update your home for spring on a budget?

Small swaps make the biggest impact. Try updating pillow covers in lighter fabrics or fresh prints, switching out lampshades or adding a rattan lamp, restyling shelves with brighter accessories, or introducing new artwork or picture frames in seasonal colors. These quick changes can completely shift the feel of a space without spending a lot.

What materials are popular in spring home decor right now?

Natural materials are having a major moment. Rattan, wicker, linen, cotton, light woods, and ceramic finishes are all trending. These materials help bring warmth and texture into a space while still keeping everything feeling light and breathable for spring.

How often should you update your home decor seasonally?

You don’t need to completely redecorate every season. A few intentional swaps two to four times a year is more than enough. Focusing on small, versatile updates keeps your home feeling current while still maintaining a cohesive, timeless look.

Happy Spring!!
