Stylish Halloween Clothes That Aren’t Cheesy

I’m a big fan of Halloween, BIG. Dare I say it might even be my favorite? Perhaps it’s a seasonal thing. Big yellow school buses are out and about, the leaves are changing, Friday nights under the lights for local highschool football games and pumpkins – it’s a whole vibe. I know that other holidays also have their vibe but perhaps it’s because we had months of summer dedicated to swimming, BBQs and generally out-of-school revelry that when it rolls around to celebrate a new seasonal holiday, Halloween seems that much of bigger deal. (It could also just be that I’m over-the-top bananas for Halloween!)

Stylish Halloween Clothing

While I love fall style with the blazers, leather boots, and cozy sweaters, I’m not afraid to throw in a bit of Halloween attire during October. Given today is officially the start of lovely October, I decided to go searching for some spooky on-theme Halloween clothes, but I am determined not to walk around like a pumpkin and ghosts threw up all over me. Normally, when I think of holiday-themed clothing, it immediately conjures up feelings of someone’s great aunt wearing a sweatshirt with embroidered candy corn and applique black cats. No thank you, ma’am. If I’m going the route of on-point halloween-wear I want it to be fun but stylish, casual and a bit more elevated than the days of yore.

There are some really cute pieces out there! A majority of what I’m recommending below are tops, but I was pleasantly surprised at how many cool, stylish Halloween things I found. I hope you love some of these as much as I do! Happy Haunting!

Sidenote: I just had the Graphic Skull “sweatshirt” from Amazon delivered (third one down). It is cute! However, I would use the word “sweatshirt” lightly. It’s more of a cross between a heavy t-shirt and a sweatshirt. So if you’re planning on wearing this and only this for a crisp fall day, I would recommend a light jacket over it if you’re headed out of the house. I just threw it in the wash so if there is anything crazy in terms of shrinkage – I will update this post with the details!
