Stylish & Useful Picnic Accessories
Summer’s in full swing, and that means it’s time to channel your inner coastal chic and take the party outside. Whether you’re picnicking in the park, beach-bound with your girlfriends, or spreading out a blanket in your backyard with rosé in hand, the key to a successful summer picnic is this: effortless style meets practical comfort. And luckily, you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Every year, we have a “picnic in a new park” on our summer bucket list. Our very first picnic several years ago was a half-hazard culmination of throwing a bunch of random things into plastic grocery store bags and dumping it all out on a random blanket that I brought home from Mexico about 20 years ago. Instagram-worthy picnic look? I think not! But over the years, I’ve started to collect some super cute, stylish, and chic items to make up the perfect photo-worthy picnic. We don’t picnic all that often as we have a private backyard with a deck and great dining table so a lot of our al fresco dining happens in our backyard. However, for those of you who live in a big city and parks provide that much-needed access to dining amidst nature, having the best picnic gear makes life a lot easier (and more organized) when you get ready to pack everything up.

Here’s everything I love and think you need to host (or attend) a picnic that looks as good as it feels and is Instagrammable, comfortable, and oh-so-pretty.

Picnic Basket for 4
Want something a little more traditional and romantic looking? This is a great option for four people going on a picnic. It includes cutlery, plates, wineglasses, and a waterproof mat. This, too, is insulated to keep everything at its proper temperature. The perfect vintage choice for a stylish picnic basket
Foldable Double Layer Waterproof Picnic Blanket
This picnic blanket boasts a fun, boho, and playful style unlike the typical and standard picnic blankets. The top layer is like a cozy blanket with the bottom layer serving as a waterproof mat to keep you nice and dry on any wetter grass/seating areas.
Portable Picnic Table
We attended our local “concert in the park” last night and brought a picnic with us. My husband said about 4x how he wished that we had a table to set our food. This portable picnic table is a good option if you’re particularly concerned about ants or prefer not to have food directly on the ground. Also good to set the food up a bit if you’ve brought chairs to sit in.
Melamine Plates
Again, having something more substantial than paper products can really make your picnic seem that much more luxe and chic. These melamine plates are really cute and playful. When I take them on my picnic, I bring along wet wipes and wipe them all down after people have eaten to make them easier to pack up.
