Get the Pottery Barn Christmas Look for Less

Every year when the holiday collections start showing up, Pottery Barn is one of the first places I look. They just do Christmas well. The greenery, the velvet ribbons, the little brass details, the stockings that look like they belong hanging over a fireplace in a Nancy Meyers movie. I inevitably want half of it. What I don’t necessarily want is the price tag that comes with buying half of it.

There are some really good Pottery Barn Christmas decor dupes and affordable alternatives out there, especially if you know which details to look for. Think bells, garlands, wreaths, stockings, ornaments, candleholders and all of those little extras that make a house feel especially good at Christmas.

I’ve pulled together some of the best Pottery Barn holiday decor lookalikes I’ve found, with options that give you that same warm, classic Christmas feel for a lot less. Mix a few of them with pieces you already own (and maybe one or two Pottery Barn things you really love), and you can get a very similar look without spending a small fortune decorating for a season that lasts about six weeks.

Needlepoint Stocking

Pottery Barn has tons of nostalgic and classic Christmas decor. We hang needlepoint stockings ever year and I just love the vintage Christmas vibes they give. Pottery Barn averages about $50 for a needlepoint stocking but I found one similar for under $35.

Oversized Jingle Bells

I feel like this is a very classic Pottery Barn holiday decoration. Roughly the same size, the PB oversized bell is just under $120 with the dupe coming in at about $28. That is a crazy savings for such a similar look!

Gingerbread Tree

Gingerbread Trees are just so darn adorable! The Pottery Barn Handcrafted Gingerbread Tree is new this season at a little under $45. I found a similar-looking gingerbread tree for just $19.

Brass Reindeer

I feel like this another iconic holiday decoration from Pottery Barn. The 2 Pottery Barn brass reindeer are about $130 for both. I found a similar-looking set of 2 reindeer for under $90. That’s a pretty good savings! And I think the dupe looks just a luxe as the real thing!

Christmas Tree Quilt

I absolutely adore the Pottery Barn Christmas Tree quilt but I just can’t justify spending $349 (for the king size) when it’s only going to be on my bed for about 6 weeks. I did find this equally adorable Christmas Tree quilt by Spode that is only $83 for the king size! Now that I can get behind!

Faux Berry Trees

The faux berry trees add the best pop of color during the holiday season. Sure, the Pottery Barn versions look a bit more luxe. But the dupe gives off a similar vibe. For two 18″ trees from Pottery Barn, it will be about $200. The lookalikes are also 18″ and for a set of two, they are just under. $70. Not bad!

Magnolia Leaf Wreath

I love the understated beauty of magnolia wreaths at the holidays. Both of these wreaths are absolutely stunning. While the Pottery Barn wreath is larger at 24″ diameter, it is $169. The dupe is 17″ diameter, but it’s only $50!! I’ll take a slightly smaller wreath if it saves me that much money!

Woven Christmas Tree Collar

I adore this and I’m 100% getting one of these this year. These tree collars add such a rustic, simple look that makes any tree look polished and elegant. It’s giving me Ralph Lauren Christmas vibes. The Pottery Barn version is $149 and the similar tree collar is $35.

Embroidered Christmas Tree Pillow Cover

I’m into anything nostalgic in terms of Christmas decor. Both of these embroidered pillows are so adorable and will make any space look cozy! The pottery barn pillow cover is just under $90 and the similar looking pillow cover is $25. I think i actually like the dupe better!

Quilted Velvet Stocking

The quilted velvet stocking is one of Pottery Barn’s bestsellers, and for a good reason. They look so luxe hanging on any mantle! One stocking is between $30 – $35, depending on size. I found a great set of three quilted stockings all for under $25. Granted, they don’t have the personalization but they still have that same elegant look.

There are certain places I look to every year for Christmas inspiration, and Pottery Barn will probably always be one of them. Their holiday collections have that classic, collected look that feels festive without being overly themed or trendy.

But recreating that look definitely doesn’t mean everything has to come from Pottery Barn. A really good garland here, a few velvet bows there, some pretty brass bells or a set of stockings can completely change a room. And when you can find pieces with the same details and overall feel for considerably less, even better.

My favorite approach is always to mix. Splurge on the one Pottery Barn piece you absolutely love, fill in with more affordable finds, and pull out the things you’ve collected over the years. Christmas decorating is better when your house doesn’t look like you bought the entire room in one afternoon anyway.
