Studio McGee Dupes: How to Get the Look for Less Without Sacrificing Style
There are certain design styles that just feel right the moment you see them, and for me, Studio McGee has always been one of them. It is that perfect balance of polished and lived-in. Clean, but never cold. Elevated, but still approachable enough that you can actually imagine real life happening in the space.
I particularly love the soft neutral palettes, the mix of textures, and the way every piece felt intentional without looking overly styled. It feels calm, and it is quite timeless. And naturally, I wanted my home to feel the same way.
But as much as I love their pieces, the price point can add up quickly. Which is exactly why I started looking for Studio McGee-inspired pieces that give you that same aesthetic at a much more approachable price.
If you love that signature McGee look, these are the best ways to recreate it without overspending. Is Anthropologie also your thing? Head on over to my latest blog post about all of the Anthropologie-inspired home decor that gives you that boho look for less!
What Defines the Studio McGee Aesthetic?
Before diving into the dupes, it helps to understand what actually makes a space feel like Studio McGee. It is not about copying exact pieces. It is about capturing the overall feel.
Here is what defines the look:
- A soft, neutral color palette with warm whites, creams, and light wood tones
- A mix of materials like linen, oak, ceramic, and stone
- Classic silhouettes with subtle modern updates
- Layered textures that add warmth without clutter
- Decor that feels curated, not overly trendy
The key is restraint. Nothing feels excessive. Every piece has a purpose.
Here are some of my favorite pieces that are inspired by Studio McGee designs at a much more affordable cost. If dupes are your thing, head on over to my recent post that’s a comprehensive guide on the best dupes I’ve found to-date. It includes everything from skincare to my favorite Bogg Bag dupes.

The Studio McGee Molly Dining Chair is so modern and casual. They both have tapered legs and give that beachy cool vibe. The Studio McGee Molly dining chair is a little under $800 and the Bali & Pari dining chair that looks similar is just over $200.
The Studio McGee Tess Ceramic lamp has a great geometric look. Both lamps have a very natural finish, and while the Jonathan lamp from Amazon is slightly varied in style (and just under $90), it still has that same vibe as the Studio McGee lamp, which is just over $375.
I am obsessed with the style of these chairs and I actually own two of the Duhome Spindle Accent chairs. The Studio McGee Earnshaw lounge chair is both cozy and sophisticated and the Duhome spindle chair has the same look and feel (slightly different) but with Studio McGee chair coming in at $2,245 and the dupe at just under $270, that’s a huge savings!
What a fun and funky modern piece for any bedroom. The Studio McGee Wilkens Lauren Nightstand is $1,315. The NFusion nightstand that looks similar is from Wayfair and currently retails for under $300. Both are so fun!
I love this shade for any bedroom and this is a fabulous dresser by Studio McGee. It’s $3,295 and I can see why because it’s gorgeous. However, the Baby Relax dresser may be smaller but it’s got a similar look and is just under $400.
The Studio McGee Dana Tallboy Dresser is a bestseller for a reason. However, I found this similar dresser that is around $3,000 less!! You can’t beat that!!
Why not add a touch of the outdoors to your living room? The Studio McGee side table, $950, is a gorgeous contemporary piece. I was so excited to find one that looks similar for a little under $200.
What lovely, snuggly chairs! The shearling chair from from Studio McGee is a little over $2,500 and the similar wingback chair from Walmart is $500.
The McGee & Co rattan table lamp has that cool coastal vibe. It’s a gorgeous little lamp that is $368. The At Home Honeybooom rattan lamp has that similar coastal look and feel and is just under $60. The reviews make it seem like people are pretty happy with the affordable option!
I am always amazed at how expensive beds cost! The McGee & Co Denning Upholstered bed is just over $4,500. It’s one of their bestsellers! I found this similar upholstered bed from Ashley Home Furniture and it’s just over $1,000.
Out of all the dupes, this one is my favorite find. The McGee & Co pillow cover is $104. On Amazon, you can get a set of two Sivirary block print pillow covers for $17. Added to my cart!
The McGee & Co Aldorno pendant light is one of their bestsellers at $1,848. I found this similar dome pendant for a fraction of the price. The Hinkley Sadie Dome pendant is just under $350.
The Best Studio McGee Dupes for Every Room
Living Room Dupes
If there is one space where Studio McGee really shines, it is the living room. Think cozy but elevated. Look for:
- Slipcovered sofas in warm white or oatmeal tones
- Wood coffee tables with simple, clean lines
- Textured throw pillows in subtle patterns
- Ceramic or stone table lamps with linen shades
A great dupe strategy here is to focus on shape and material instead of brand names. A simple linen sofa with a relaxed fit can give you the same look as a much more expensive version.
Kitchen and Dining Dupes
Studio McGee kitchens feel bright, airy, and quietly beautiful. To recreate the look:
- Swap in wood or woven counter stools
- Use simple white or handmade-style ceramic dishes
- Add a soft runner with a vintage-inspired pattern
- Choose glass or ceramic pendant lighting
Bedroom Dupes
This is where the Studio McGee aesthetic really leans into comfort. Focus on:
- Neutral bedding with subtle texture like quilted or linen layers
- Upholstered or wood bed frames with classic lines
- Minimal nightstands styled with just a few thoughtful pieces
- Soft lighting with warm bulbs and simple bases
One of the easiest ways to get this look is by layering bedding. A mix of crisp white sheets, a light quilt, and a neutral throw instantly creates that relaxed, high-end feel.
Where to Find the Best Studio McGee Inspired Pieces
Over time, I have found a few go-to places that consistently get this look right without the designer price tag:
- Target, especially their Studio McGee collaboration
- Amazon for affordable lighting, textiles, and decor
- Walmart for surprisingly good furniture finds
- Wayfair for larger pieces like beds and sofas
