Weekend Wrap-Up: June 22
We are officially at the start of summer! While I typically think of summer starting the day school gets out, the longest day of the year marks our official start. And what a great weekend we had to usher in this (somewhat chilly thus far) summer. I’m working on a bucket list for all of our summer activities. While I haven’t quite completed it yet, we are already checking the boxes of a few of our must-do activities.
Last week, my son went to his very first concert, The Strokes! It was beyond fun and if you ever get a chance to see The Strokes live, they put on a fantastic show. We are lucky to live a couple of miles from a very famous Detroit outdoor music venue which makes it easy to get there (and home) quickly. We often will get concert tickets same-day and head out if the mood strikes us!
As for weekend shenanigans, it was a small-town kind of vibe. Friday evening we attended our local outdoor concert series in our town’s main park. Saturday morning brought a trip to our local farmer’s market (speaking of… if you’re looking for cute farmers market outfit inspo, click here) and happily took home fresh arugula, strawberries and local honey. We (tried to) play tennis Saturday evening, did a little swimming and tubing on Father’s Day and celebrated all the amazing men in our lives all day long. Not a bad weekend!
This week we plan to check off a few more bucket list summer activities. We’re going cherry picking tomorrow as cherries are in season here in Michigan, meeting up with friends at the pool mid-week and refraining from buying ALL the things during Amazon Prime Days!! But I will allow myself to purchase a few of those things that have been in my cart for awhile if I find they go on sale. Speaking of Prime Day Deals, keep an eye on my Amazon Storefront for some of my favorite deals going on sale this week!

As always, here are the things I’ve been thinking about, reading, watching, cooking, planning, or adding to my cart!
I’ve been wanting these battery-operated wall sconces, and they were finally on sale!
This week’s book is Villa Coco by Andrew Sean Greer. I went to Barnes and Noble to get a few Father’s Day gifts, and treated myself to this book. I really loved his other book, Less, so I’m hoping I like this just as much.
I am SO excited as I just watched the trailer for the upcoming season of Ted Lasso (season four).
I’ve been lacking on getting 4th of July decor up (just not feeling all that patriotic lately) but I did just purchase this burlap bow for our front door.
Speaking of the 4th of July, these blue and white sandals are perfect (and on sale at the time of publishing this post) for any Americana outfit vibe.
I recently linked some of my favorite essentials for an outdoor movie night and I have my fingers crossed this outdoor beanbag chair will go on sale for Amazon Prime Day. It looks so comfy and I’ll get two if the price is right!
A friend of mine has been singing the praises of Cuyana bags and I’ve got my eye on this pretty little gal.
I’m attending a backyard graduation party next weekend and want to stay cool and comfortable but still look stylish. This striped dress is just the ticket.
Cheers to another great week!
XO,
Abby
